Long con stretch over
With the ending of Anime Expo 2005, I have come to the end of my long con rush. Four cons in five weeks. And I'm tired. Now there is a little less than one con a month left for the rest of the year so maybe I can get some more work done around the office. At least the rush ended on a good note. The Anime Expo SPJA awards for 2005 were given out at the end of the con yesterday and ADV won:

Best Male Character, US Release for Sosuke Sagura in Full Metal Panic!
Best Publication for Newtype USA
Best OVA for Happy Lesson Mama Mia!

And my favorite:

Best Company!

Yay! The fans love us! :)

Anyway, more cons to come and more news as well. See you all online or at the next con. Now for some rest... NOT!

It is true ADV is the best. However on a serious note, at A-Kon it came to my attention that there were lay-offs at ADV. My question is: Does Jon Duckworth still work there? I heard he was laid off but I recently picked up a copy of Gravion Zwei Vol. 3 and saw his name. He is my friend and I am just a little curious.

I know I love ADV. I just got the first Gatchaman collection, and it's a beautiful thing. I hope it's successful. If it is, perhaps someone might be tempted to license "Mach Go! Go! Go!" from Tatsunoko Pro. Hint. Hint.

Oh, but if any ya'll live In N.I and don't already know this but there's DAMA, every month and in August a big anime con called Tomo-Dachi, uber cool, eh?
